Settings

The Settings section contains the organization's security parameters and the interface language. Block availability depends on the employee's role.

Authenticator App (2FA)

This block manages two-factor authentication via an authenticator app. The current status is shown next to the title: Active or Inactive.

IMPORTANT

Enabling app-based 2FA is an organization-wide setting. All users will be required to set up the app and enter a verification code every time they log in to MaxProtocol. Email authentication will be disabled. Learn more: Sign-In and Authentication.

Setting Up the App

  1. Click Set up — a page opens with links to the Google Authenticator app for iOS and Android. Install the app if you don't have it yet, then click Continue.
  2. The setup page displays a QR code. Scan it with your authenticator app — a MaxProtocol entry with a six-digit code will appear in the app.
  3. Enter the current six-digit code from the app in the confirmation field and click Confirm.

After confirmation, 2FA becomes active: on your next login you will need the code from the app instead of the email code (the code refreshes every 30 seconds).

Resetting 2FA

The Reset 2FA button removes the current authenticator app binding. After a reset, the setup must be completed again — use it, for example, when switching phones.

Disabling

Switch the block's toggle to the off position and confirm the action in the dialog. After disabling, all employees will return to email code authentication.

Interface Language

The Language block lets you choose the control panel language: English or Русский. Select a value from the list and click Apply — the setting is saved in the user profile.
